to host a fundraising event this October

Why October?
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the month the whole country turns pink. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, and almost everyone knows someone who has faced it.
Awareness saves lives. The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the outlook, and every pink event, big or small, keeps that message in front of the people who need to hear it.
The Breast Unit at The Princess Alexandra Hospital cares for our local community through screening, diagnosis, treatment and recovery. This October the unit is asking the community it serves to lend a hand.
One small event, hosted by you, helps the unit help many.

Afternoon tea
Scones, bunting and pink tablecloths, at home or the hall.

Pumpkin carving night
Prize for the best carve, hot chocolate on the side.

Dog walk in pink
Meet at the park, pink bandanas on the dogs.

Two big pots, one hall, a cold Saturday.

Spring bulb sale

A local restaurant hosts a Monday sitting, set menu.

Run your event any day of the month. Everything you raise goes straight to the Breast Unit.

Every penny raised stays local. It goes to the Breast Unit at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust and supports the people of Harlow and west Essex through diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
